Spectral Karaoke is a fluid collective of electronic free improvisors born out of improv sessions in the basement of the University of Birmingham's Electroacoustic Music Studios.
Incorporating analogue drones, field recording, experimental DJ'ing, embodied controllers, Al-driven live coding, and the occasional instrumental part, their combined influences and experience nod to a wide range of electronic and experimental styles. Each session moves between varying levels of delicateness, intensity, harmony, rhythm, and noisiness, each member finding their space in the frequency field.
Spectral Karaoke will give a varied series of live-improvised sets at Pan-Pan next Friday 4th
August, beginning at 5pm.
